Booking Terms and Conditions

These Booking Terms and Conditions apply to bookings and use of MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS from Fujinomiya (“MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS”), operated by Nonprofit Organization Machizukuri Top Runner Fujinomiya Honpo.

By making a booking, the customer agrees to these Booking Terms and Conditions, the applicable travel terms and conditions, and the Cancellation Policy.

1. Booking Requests and Confirmation

A booking request does not necessarily constitute a confirmed booking.

For bookings made directly through our online booking system, a booking is officially confirmed after the required payment has been successfully completed and the booking has been accepted by MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS.

For customized tours, group bookings, hotel or travel agency arrangements, or other bookings requiring individual arrangements, MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS may first accept the request as a provisional booking.

In such cases, the booking will be officially confirmed after the final number of guests, vehicle type, itinerary, total price, and other necessary arrangements have been agreed upon and the required full payment has been received.

We reserve the right to decline a booking if the requested vehicle, driver, guide, or other necessary arrangements cannot be secured.

2. Tour Price and Additional Costs

The tour price will be shown on the booking page, quotation, invoice, payment page, or other booking communication provided by MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS.

Unless specifically stated as included, the following expenses may be charged separately:

Highway tolls
Parking fees
Admission or entrance fees
Meals and beverages
Ferry, ropeway, or other transportation fees
Additional tour time or extensions
Other expenses incurred at the customer's request

If the tour exceeds the booked duration at the customer's request, an additional charge may apply.

3. Number of Guests and Vehicle Type

Customers must provide accurate information regarding the number of passengers.

The vehicle type and tour price may change if the final number of guests changes.

For group bookings where the final number of guests has not yet been determined, MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS may provisionally arrange a vehicle based on the information available at the time of booking.

If a different or larger vehicle becomes necessary after the number of guests is finalized, an additional charge may apply, and the requested vehicle will be subject to availability.

4. Luggage, Wheelchairs, Mobility Devices and Special Requirements

Customers must inform MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS in advance of large or excessive luggage, wheelchairs, mobility scooters, child seats, or other items requiring special vehicle capacity or arrangements.

Customers should also inform us in advance of any mobility or accessibility requirements that may affect the tour arrangements.

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests; however, accommodation is subject to vehicle capacity, accessibility, safety requirements, and availability.

5. Payment

Payment must be made using the payment method specified by MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS.

Unless otherwise agreed, the required full payment must be completed by the payment deadline provided by MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS.

If payment is not received by the specified deadline, the provisional booking or vehicle reservation may be released.

Any bank fees, currency conversion fees, payment processing fees, or other charges imposed by the customer's financial institution or payment provider are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise stated.

6. Changes to a Booking

Requests to change the tour date, time, duration, number of guests, vehicle, pick-up or drop-off location, or itinerary must be made as early as possible.

Changes are subject to availability and may result in a change to the tour price.

Please refer to our Cancellation Policy for the applicable conditions regarding booking changes and cancellations.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation fees and refund conditions are governed by our Cancellation Policy.

Current cancellation fees are:

Up to 7 days before the tour: No cancellation fee
6–2 days before the tour: 20% of the tour price
1 day before the tour: 50% of the tour price
On the day of the tour, after the tour has started, or in the case of a no-show: 100% of the tour price

Please review the full Cancellation Policy before completing your booking.

Payment Processing Fees

Even when no cancellation fee applies, if payment has already been made by credit card or another online payment method, payment processing fees, refund processing fees, or other charges incurred through the payment service provider may be non-refundable.

In such cases, the applicable payment processing fees or other charges may be deducted from the amount refunded to the customer. The actual refund amount will depend on the payment method used and the applicable conditions of the payment service provider.

Where a tour cannot be operated due to severe weather, natural disaster, road closure, cruise itinerary changes, or other unavoidable circumstances, MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS will handle the cancellation or refund in accordance with the Cancellation Policy, applicable travel terms and conditions, and the circumstances of the cancellation.

8. Late Arrival and Tour Duration

Customers are responsible for arriving at the agreed pick-up location at the scheduled time.

If a customer arrives late, the tour may need to be shortened or the itinerary may need to be changed in order to finish at the scheduled time.

If the customer requests an extension and the driver and vehicle are available, additional charges may apply.

9. Itinerary Changes, Weather and Traffic Conditions

Tour itineraries and travel times are subject to weather, traffic conditions, road closures, congestion, facility operating conditions, seasonal restrictions, and other circumstances beyond our control.

MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS may change the order of sightseeing locations, shorten a visit, substitute a destination, or make other reasonable itinerary adjustments when necessary for safety or operation of the tour.

Mt. Fuji is a natural landmark, and visibility depends on weather conditions. We cannot guarantee that Mt. Fuji will be visible during the tour.

Poor visibility of Mt. Fuji alone does not constitute grounds for a refund.

10. Safety and Customer Responsibilities

Customers must follow reasonable safety instructions given by the driver, guide, facility staff, or MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS.

Customers must not engage in conduct that endangers themselves, other passengers, the driver, guide, vehicle, or third parties.

MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS may refuse or discontinue service where continuing the tour would present a significant safety risk or where a customer seriously interferes with the operation of the tour.

11. Travel Terms and Conditions

Bookings are also subject to the applicable travel terms and conditions of MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS.

If there is any inconsistency between these Booking Terms and Conditions and mandatory provisions of applicable Japanese law or the applicable travel terms and conditions, the latter will prevail to the extent required.

12. Electronic Delivery of Documents

With the customer's prior consent, MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS may provide travel terms and conditions, booking confirmations, contract-related documents, cancellation policies, and other documents or information related to the booking by electronic means.

Electronic delivery may include email, website links, downloadable electronic files such as PDF documents, or other electronic methods notified to the customer.

Customers should retain or save electronically provided documents for their records.

Customers who do not wish to receive documents electronically and prefer paper documents should contact MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS before completing the booking.

13. Personal Information

Personal information provided by customers will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Japanese law.

Personal information may be used to arrange and operate the tour, process payments, communicate with customers, and coordinate with transportation providers, guides, accommodation facilities, or other service providers where necessary to provide the booked service.

14. Limitation of Liability

MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS will perform its obligations in accordance with applicable Japanese law and the applicable travel terms and conditions.

MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS is not responsible for losses or damages caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, traffic congestion, road closures, transportation disruption, facility closures, or other unavoidable circumstances, except where liability is imposed by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by Japanese law.

15. Changes to These Terms

MT. FUJI TAXI TOURS may revise these Booking Terms and Conditions when reasonably necessary due to changes in law, services, booking procedures, or other circumstances.

The terms applicable to an individual booking will be those presented or otherwise applicable when the relevant booking agreement is made, except where otherwise required by law or agreed with the customer.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Booking Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Japan.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to a booking or these Terms shall be handled in accordance with applicable Japanese law.

Where an agreement on jurisdiction is legally permitted, the competent court having jurisdiction over the location of the operator shall be the agreed court of first instance.
