THE 4 BREWERIES
Each brewery has its own history, character, and approach to sake. Discover four distinct expressions of Fujinomiya’s brewing culture.

Founded in 1830, Takasago brews sake with pristine spring water from Mt. Fuji. Exceptionally soft water, traditional Noto Toji techniques, and time-honored Yamahai brewing create sake with a smooth, distinctive character.

Founded in 1743, Makino Sake Brewery has been brewing sake in Fujinomiya for generations. Using 100% Mt. Fuji spring water and traditional Noto Toji techniques, the brewery continues a remarkably hands-on approach to sake making, preserving centuries of craftsmanship.

Founded in 1688 in the picturesque village of Yuno, Fujinishiki has been brewing sake for more than 300 years. Using soft spring water filtered through Mt. Fuji—and even growing its own local sake rice—the brewery creates refined sake deeply connected to the land.

Founded in 1866, Fujimasa brews sake high on the Asagiri Plateau, around 900 meters above sea level. Known as the sake brewery closest to Mt. Fuji, it also features a well-stocked shop offering sake and a variety of other local drinks, along with a fun tasting corner to explore.
